Great time for all the Halloweentown Night at Grandview

Taylor halloween

We would like to thank everyone including staff, students and parents for taking part in our Halloweentown Night at Grandview.  Everybody had a lot scary fun!!!. Taylor raised approximately $200 towards Cardiac Kids.  Stay tuned for further events to help support Taylor and her cause. Halloween Activities and guidelines for Friday

We have a lot of fun activities planned for Friday at Grandview.  There is the Halloween parade that will take place at approximately noon, which will be followed by the primary dance.  This will be followed by a grade 4-8 dance during the last block.  If you have any questions regarding activities please talk with your child’s teacher.

We would like this to be a safe, fun and respectful day.  We ask that no weapons be brought to school and ask that costumes are respectful with limited gore (blood, etc.).  We also recommend no masks as we do not want anyone falling on the stairs. Younger grades may have slightly different guidelines.  Please refer to the primary note that has been sent home.

Happy Halloween!!!

Tonight’s the night as Halloweentown Comes to Grandview

Families are invited to come to our Halloween night from 6-7 in support of Taylor Diamond’s bid for Miss Teen Canada and Cardiac Kids.  There will be stories, games and a haunted maze.  Students have created various forms of art for around the school as well. A minimum $5 donation per family is being asked to help support the charity.

Intermediate Co-ed Intramural Volleyball

For the month of November students in grades 7 & 8 will be invited to take part in intramural volleyball during nutrition breaks.  We will try to hold at least two per week.  Students are expected to have proper gym attire (sports pants/shorts, t-shirt and gym shoes).  There will be an announcement on the news in the morning when intramurals will be taking place, so students are encouraged to keep a set of gym clothes at school.  Below is the permission form. Please print it off and return it to the school.
